TRIBEC Training Programs
Our training programs at TRIBEC deliver a tiered learning curriculum in flexible formats, equipping participants with the skills and knowledge needed for success in biomanufacturing.

The TRIBEC Core Courses
The TRIBEC Core Courses are a series of six asynchronous, online courses covering foundational biomanufacturing topics such as processes, operations, facilities, safety, and regulations. The courses also familiarize learners with the language used in the biomanufacturing industry, and gives an overview of the types of roles within biomanufacturing companies.
TRIBEC 1: Overview of Biomanufacturing is available for enrollment, the remaining courses are coming soon.
The TRIBEC Lab Fundamentals
The TRIBEC Lab Fundamentals course is an in-person, hands-on learning course offered at 18 locations across Texas. Learners will gain basic laboratory skills and will learn introductory manufacturing skills such as gowning, aseptic technique, and documentation. The Lab Fundamentals course is approximately 40 hours of learning content, delivered over the course of an academic semester, or in short (1-2 week) bootcamps. The TRIBEC Advanced Capstone
The TRIBEC Advanced Capstone is a one-week, hands-on training program held at the National Center for Therapeutics Manufacturing’s 33,000 square foot simulated cGMP training facility. Participants will operate pilot- and process-scale equipment, gain experience working in cleanrooms, and get hands-on experience working with bioreactors, chromatography systems, filtration skids, quality control assays, and more. Completion of the TRIBEC Lab Fundamentals course is a required prerequisite for the Capstone.
What is the TRIBEC Credential?
Participants may complete one, two, or three TRIBEC credentials, which are complimentary and stackable. While we would encourage participants to complete all three credentials, credentials are earned separately by completing different programs. Information about specific TRIBEC credentials is as follows:
Participants who complete each Core Course will receive a completion certificate and Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES) continuing education units (CEUs) for each course they complete. There are six courses that comprise the TRIBEC Core Course credential.
Participants who complete the TRIBEC Lab Fundamentals course will receive a completion credential from the TRIBEC partner where they completed the course.
Participants who complete the TRIBEC Advanced Capstone will receive a completion certificate and TEES CEUs for the TRIBEC Advanced Capstone credential.
